Two years I started a project which has become a passion. I have had a few willing models; however, finally settled on a couple friends who each bring different aspects of what I envision Luce Dutton to have been. This series of shots were my first and I took them in October. The temperature was in the 30's and flakes of snow gently fell around us. I have no way of knowing much about Luce other than the sparse info that was written during her time. The Cazenovia Republican published a two part article last year and I was fascinated. It appears that Luce was almost like a wild animal. Timid, well mannered and avoided the company of men. Some reports state that she was picked on by children; which I can imagine. It is exciting and gives me goosebumps to know that this poor, lonely, wondered Madison County. As soon as Spring arrives, of next year, I will start a new session of images. I will keep updating these blogs to keep up to date.
